My Life · Chapter 23

Alone at Last

Original page 273

As I said, I was looking forward to being by myself and (we) had moved back to Duck Creek (again).

Whilst at 258 the boys (James, Rimu and Zac) together with their various hangers on, had shared the downstairs flat, with own bedroom, lounge, bathroom, toilet etc and thought they could take over my chalet for their own 'purposes'.

This did not sit well with me and I put my foot down with a firm hand as they say – asking them ALL to leave me alone.

For some time James lived in our caravan at the SBT depot in Tairua until getting his own flat, Rimu went to a backpackers, and Zac had already arranged a flat nearer to his work.

I have slowed down a lot recently but still drive about 20,000 km each year and am thrilled to now have my 'P' endorsement renewed till 2025.

I would like to be cremated and my ashes put on the wall at Whangamata Cemetery somewhere near Auntie Bea's
